Story

The Friends of Dorothy ski is a limited-edition collaboration between Matty Benedetto and J Skis.

Created for Pride and inspired by Winter Rendezvous Gay Ski Week at Stowe, the graphic captures the layered personalities, friendships, memories, and self-expression found within the LGBTQ+ ski community.

The ski is built on J Skis’ Allplay platform — a 97mm-waisted, playful all-mountain shape designed for groomers, trees, park, and soft snow. Across the base, the design carries a simple declaration:

I AM A GAY SKIER.

Limited to 200 hand-signed and numbered pairs, this release sits somewhere between performance ski, personal archive, and wearable pride flag for the mountain.
