Shipping policy

Shipping

Everything here is made in small runs out of a studio in Burlington, Vermont. When you place an order, a real person packs it and sends it your way, so here's exactly what happens between checkout and your doorstep.

When your order ships

In stock items ship within our handling window below.

Pre-orders are tied to an upcoming run. The estimated ship date lives on the product page and at checkout. Runs occasionally slip — manufacturing and supply chains being what they are — and if yours does, we'll email you rather than leave you guessing.

Where it ships from, and how fast we move

Orders go out from Vermont, USA, Monday through Friday (holidays excepted).

Most orders leave within  1-2 business days of being placed.

How long delivery takes, and what it costs

Once an order is on its way, transit usually runs 4–30 business days depending on where you are and how quickly local customs moves. Your specific estimate and shipping cost are both calculated at checkout, so there are no surprises there.

Duties and international orders

For most of the world, we ship duties paid (DDP) — the total at checkout is the total. Nothing extra shows up at your door.

A small number of destinations ship duties unpaid (DDU), which means your local customs authority or courier may bill you separately for import taxes or fees before they release the package. When this applies to your order, checkout will tell you so up front.

Not sure whether yours is affected? Ask us before you buy. Any customs charges on a duties-unpaid order are yours to cover, and if a package is refused over them and sent back to us, we can reship it at cost.

Tracking your order

You'll get a confirmation email when you order, and a second email with a tracking link the moment it ships. Give tracking 24–48 hours to start updating — carriers are slow to wake up. You can also find everything by logging into your account or searching your inbox for "your order has shipped."

If something goes sideways

Once a package is with the carrier, most of what happens next is in their hands, not ours. A few realities worth knowing:

Wrong address. Double-check it at checkout. Once an order ships, the odds of rerouting are slim, and we can't refund or reship an order that couldn't reach the address given. If a reroute is possible and the carrier charges for it, that fee is the customer's — we'll tell you the amount before doing anything.

Pickups and missed deliveries. Some carriers need you to collect a parcel from a pickup point or confirm details within a window. If that doesn't happen, the package may come back to us — and a reship would be at cost.

Lost, stolen, or marked-delivered. Contact us with your order number as soon as you notice. We can't guarantee a refund or replacement on a package the carrier has marked delivered, but we'll open an investigation and walk you through it.
